A stock 460 is about 750 lbs. The 76 made around 230 hp and 380 ft lbs of torque. If you get the early 429 heads you will gain alot of power. The 1970 429 was 360 hp 480 ft lbs. The 460 was 500 ft lbs. If you get aluminum heads/intake/wp you would probably be in the 600 lb range which is liveable. A 351 weighs about 550 lb and a 302 460 lbs.

429mustang have you done your swap yet? I heard that the hooker headers did not fit well and poor quality. Also I heard The mount #'s that hooker lists one half is obsolete. Just woundering cause I am about to do the swap.

I'm not afraid of the weight for the power increase
