![]() I drive my car every day to and from work (a lot of highway miles). I'd like to have that lopey idle so it sounds wicked and all, and want something that'll make good power at the strip but still be drivable through town. I was considering an F303 and some 1.6's but someone told me this might not be the best choice.
The car is a 90LX 5.0. I have L/T headers, Pro Chamber, and cat-back, all MAC. I will be installing a GT-40 intake, 70mm TB (if I can afford an Accufab I'll get a 65mm), 73mm C&L meter, 24lb injectors, 3.73 gears, and underdrive pullies (I have a 130amp alternator BTW). For now I'll be using stock ported heads, but eventually want to get some AFR 165's or Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads. I don't really want to buy a cam now and have to buy another one later when I get the new heads so I need one that is best suited for the TW's or AFR's, but would like to have one that will work ok with my stockers for now. The stock heads are getting a pretty aggressive port job and a 3 angle valve grind. They have been milled .030 as well. And what size rockers to go with this cam. Thanks. |

![]() stick with a mild cam. Will work well with your combination, and minimise driveability issues. Also stick with the 1.6 rockers. One of the crane cams would be good for you, maybe something with around 215/220 duration @ .050

![]() So the F cam wouldn't be a good choice then? I have a friend who is running it and I love the way it sounds ar idle. It's a daily driver as well. But he is using some aftermarket heads. Maybe I should just wait on the cam until I can get some AFR or TW heads.

![]() I would just stick with the stock cam, and amybe add some 1.7s. I had that on my old LX and with some cheap Turbo exhaust it sounded pretty nice!!
dont spend the money until you get the heads..IMO |

![]() I would suggest the E cam. I believe the F would be way to radical. I myself wouldnt suggest roller rocker arms because they are too much money for the little gain. The E cam is a great street-strip cam.
