My passenger side power window has a hard time going up. It goes down just fine, but really struggles going up. When it is going up, it seems to tilt forward quite a bit. By grabbing it and tilting it back, it seems to go up much better. So if figure the plastic track parts are wore out. Does anyone know if someone sells a kit to replace/rebuild this?

Or can anyone give another reason why my window goes so slow? I believe the motor is OK.

Yes, your guides are worn but I'm not sure where to get replacements. I got a set out of a junkyard from a newer stang. Another big problem with the early stangs is the absence of a regulator spring. There is a recall on this:

#91195 SEP 91 Power Window Regulator Counterbalance Spring

This is a helper spring that helps the window up. Early cars were not equipped with this which causes difficult closing of the window. I replaced the ones in my 84 Ttop car with 89 units. Works great!

I had a similar problem on my 85. I sprayed some silicone lube on the tracks and that made a big difference. Its not a permanent fix but helped enough to make it not worth worrying about.
