I plan on converting my AOD 99 GT with a stock T45. Can someone tell me if I can keep my computer ? I have heard that the stock chip for a stick was actually delaying ignition during shifts in order to prevent clutch damages. Is this true ?

I won't even think bout coverting a 99 GT to a stick, if you want a stick so bad just sell it and buy one, probably cheaper.

Thanks 93CobraR.
Here is what I found out !!
The whole conversion kit costs $ 1,500 used or $ 2,500 brand new (from production scrap ???). That includes computer, electrical harness, pressure plate pedal, T45 transmission, clutch, pedal, cable,...
Labor is $ 1,000. So we are up to $ 2,500 to 3,500. Sales taxes are about $ 2,000. Then I had all the souped up made to it, which are worthless as far as resale value.
Botom line: I"d rather give that money to my mechanics than to the US treasury !!!
