Post To Throttle or Not to Throttle

I'm planning on supercharging in about a year or so. Before then, I'm probably going to do some suspension work. But as long as I'm at it, do you guys think a larger throttle would be worthwhile before the blower goes on?

Modifications are in sig.

Thanks.

A larger throttle body wouldn't hurt that is for sure. NA you won't see a really big gain but will help when you add the blower.

I hear the FRPP 60mm dual TB give a 10 HP gain on a N/A engine. There are also TBs available without the center part, instead it is one big oval opening. I believe the V10 may come with this but I am not positive. But if you get 8-10 HP with N/A the gains would probably be consideralbly more with a S/C. What huffer do you plan on using? S-trim?

I'll probably go with the Vortec SQ blower. I'm not real wild about the air/water aftercooler. I'd prefer air/air. But of the manufacturers who actually publish their compressor maps, Vortec is much more efficient in the boost/flow range I'm interested in.

Just got the 2001 FRPP catalog and they have an oval bore TB for the 4V engines. They say it offers 30% more flow than stock, but requires minor modification to the intake manifold bridge to function. This would probably work WELL with a blower, but at $425 it is expensive. Or spend $300 and get the BBK dual bore.
