![]() I have a 99 GT and have the K&N filter with the air silencer removed. Would it benefit a NA car to get a the intake system with the larger Mass air meter?? I know the intake is needed with a supercharger but would it be worth the money on a NA car?? Experiences and thoughts would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

![]() By the way I am talking about the MAC cold air intake system. Also, if it would help, how much should I be looking to pay for this??

![]() A bigger Mass Air Sensor will help out a CAI pretty good. Not as much as with a superchager but a notice able diffrence. Also if you get a good size upgraded Mass Air you will need to get bigger injectors and make sure the Mass Air sensor is calibrated for what ever size injectors you do use. Hopefully that helps you out a little. But also ask some of the other guys here for their advice, Because I am not as knowlegdable as some of the rest are in this subject.

![]() v8powered,
It would help to know what mods you already have, as there are other mods that give you much more bang for the buck than cold air kits, larger MAFs and throttle bodies. (although they do help a bit...) In the words of Dr. Evil... Need the info! ![]() ------------------ "The Yellowjacket" 1998 Mustang GT 13.97@103 "Traction Impaired" or "Nitto Needy" ![]() |

![]() The mass air is worth it but you DO NOT need bigger injectors. You only need to make sure the meter is calibrated for your stock injectors. They come this way unless you request for something different. The only time you need to upgrade the injectors is when you're making massive amounts of power over stock(typically with supercharged or turbo cars).

![]() The 3.73s will be nice.
Is your Magnaflow exhaulst a cat back, or does it include the H-pipe also? |

![]() My Magna Flow is just the cat-back but I am going to get a Bassani X-pipe soon, but didn't think it would be a priority...

![]() A H or X-pipe will give you more then a CAI right now. The stock cats are a VERY large choke point. But you're going to eventually going to get both, so it doesn't really matter which one you do first. Right?

![]() I installed my CAI first and plan on getting my hi-flow cat H-pipe in January. Anyway, the cold air definitely made a noticeable difference. MAC claims about 10-12 hp and I have no reason to doubt it. The H-pipe should yield around 15 hp. I can't wait to get my pipe! I am hungry for a more aggressive sound. Also v8powered, the 3.73s really do make a sweet difference, especially down low. Good luck!
