![]() My car always starts up fine when it is cold. You know how they kinda rev up a little when started. But after it gets warm, if I shut it down and try to crank it after about 10 minutes it takes a lot longer (about 5 seconds) for it to fire off, and when it does it doesn't rev, it just kinda sputters and I have to give it gas to keep it running. Once I give it gas it runs fine. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this embarassing problem? I have a new fuel filter and the car has done this since day 1 before any mods. HELP!!!
![]() PS - I also wait until the fuel pump stops before attempting to start. Sometimes I even cycle the key to let it run again, but it makes no difference. [This message has been edited by King Snake (edited 05-02-2001).] |
