The seats in my 90 LX 5.0 are shot. Right now I have seat covers on them, but that really does not cut it. I'd like to get replacement seats, but don't like the (relatively) low height of factory seats. So I thought I'd get some aftermarkets or maybe "racing"-style seats. Anybody have any suggestions? Better yet, has anybody been down this road and care to make some recommendations?

I've sat in some saleen Mustangs with the Recaro seats and they seem pretty comfortable, but VERY supportive. You can ask some of the members on this board how they like their recaro seats, and i'm sure there's a way to get some direct bolt in seats from a Saleen, or even a similar style Recaro seat with one of their rails (i don't remember what the saleen seat model is). I believe that this seat may be a little taller, but i'm not totally sure. Another option is newer GT seats. They seem to be a little taller than earlier model mustangs, are a direct bolt in, and are more comforable and about as supportive.
Good luck,

I did the Corbeau Forza seats:

GREAT, CHEAP, Supportive, (but not very comfortable for everyday) seat.

p.s. I have stock REAR seats forsale off my homepage.

I've been looking for some better seats for quite some time and just recently picked up a set off of eBay. I got a set of 35th anniversary seats that are black with gray in the middle and the pony is stitched into the seatback. I can't wait to install them because the 13-year old seats just don't cut it anymore. The newer seats Ford puts in the Mustangs are far superior to the crap they used to. Keep an eye on eBay if you're looking for some newer Mustang seats. I see alot of 98 and newer seats advertised there.

Or, if you want some race seats check out Recaro, Cobra, Sparcco or Corbeau.

I'm not sure about Recaro or Sparcco's web address.

I work with a ricer and I was flipping through one of his magazines about a week ago and noticed that aftermarket seats were advertised on just about every-other page. This is a huge fad amongst ricers so you may want to pick up a ricer-mag to get a good look at some other stuff that's available.
