Question Chrysler Razor

Have you seen it?

Chances are real good it will be out in 1 or 2 years. I've never bought a new car, but I might if they build it. Also if they build it, I think it will be a big seller just like the PT Cruiser was. Do you think so?

I hope it is a big hit, because if it is, other manufacturers will also build a small light inexpensive RWD cars. The SVT Focus is nice, so is the Cav Z24 but they are FWD with power locks windows etc. and only make 170 and 150 HP.

The Razor is suppose to have a 250 HP supercharged 2.4 liter 4 cylinder. Even if they put in a 170 to 200 HP engine with no supercharger the thing will have no competition in the $14,500 category.

About the SVT Focus again, it is mentioned in many a magazine as being a great handling and running car as is, so use the Razor concept of getting rid of power windows, locks, rear hatch, etc. the car would be quicker and cheaper.

So why can't you buy a 'performance' model of a car without air conditioning and all the extra's?

Lightbulb Razor reality

1965GTO:

I think you have as much chance of getting a date with Brittany Spears as you have of seeing the Dodge Razor (a car named after a scooter) come to market anytime soon - if ever - at least not at that super but unrealistic price. We can dream, though.

They don't make 'stripper' performance cars because it's a lot of work - and expense - to have them built basically off-line and of course, the accessory packages add to the cost of the car and the profit to the manufacturer.

There are a few exceptions; Corvette offers a 'stripper' model for a few thousand less than the regular model. It happens, but it's rare.

You got Brittanys phone number? I don't believe it will be $14,500 either but we can dream. It might be $16k if they leave off the supercharger though.

Thumbs down .

Isn't the Focus SVT like $18-19,000?
