The C9 in that part number doesnt designate the year. A 65 intake for a 289 4 barrel, is the same intake thats on a 69 302 Four Barrel (Not including Boss). Part number C90Z-9424-D.

The part number didnt ring a bell, so I got out my books. I cant find C90X-9424-B anywhere.

You said it is alunimum. Ford didnt put alininmum intakes on to many of there small block cars from the factory (Except Boss's 302, 429's and 351's).

What I'm thinking is its an old Aftermarket Intake made by Ford in the 60's.

Mercury,
The only 69 302 4bbl from the factory was the boss. Standard 302 was 2V only in 69.

And you are correct. In 68 the "J" Code was the 4 barrel 302, and in 69-70 all they had for the non boss 302's was a "F" code which designates 302 2 barrerel.

I wasnt talking about just Mustangs specific parts though in my reply.
