![]() I just wanted to know what years of the 5L mustang engine had forged pistons? I'm considering buying a 95 engine and I'm wondering if it is safe to run nitrous or a supercharger on it. I'm going to transplant the engine into my 91 T-Bird Supercoupe.
Thanx musky |

![]() Mustang 5.0's had forged pistons up until 92. I have heard of some late model 92 production 5.0's having hyper pistons. It is safe to run boost/juice on hypers, just be safe and take the precautions regardless of the type of pistons.
