While looking for a project I stumbled across a '74 351W for a really good price. I plan on installing it into my '95 and have seen several swap articles both online and in magazines, however the real question I have is how I want to build it. I've looked at supercharging and stroking the motor, however I have no experience with engine building and am afraid of making expensive mistakes.

I'm hoping someone can give me a source where I can learn how to put together an engine combo. However if you want to just offer suggestions on how you would build a 351w, I'd love to hear your opinions.

Thanks,
Mike

Well, you can start by junking the induction, cam, and heads. The thing should get a full rebuild as it probably has dished low compression pistons too.

Personally, a mild head/cam/intake combo with a blower would probably be the route I would go if I wanted best performance. If money was short, I would probably try to build it N/A a little wilder.

392 Stroker, 10to1, AFR 185'S, EXTREME ENERGY 282, Victor intake, 750 Demon carb, and 1-3/4 headers = about 550 horses give or take for tuning. How's that sound?
