That is the air charge temperature sensor. I see you have the explorer intake like me. I had to tap my intake for that sensor.

I am not sure what the sensor does though.

It's the ACT (Air Charge Temperature) sensor. It reports the temp of the air in the intake to the ECM.

I thought it was a gt-40...... I got it used... Thx Guys I am going to get a new on right now !!!!!

Yes it is a GT40, just take a look at the individual tubes.

Yup, ACT sensor, I had to drill and tap mine too. Hows that water pump doing? never a good sign to see coolant on there like that.

ACT sensor (hidden behind the #5 cylinder fuel injector) on my TFS Street Heet intake:

it was leaking I have it fixed But I have not clean the motor thats all.

That's from the water pump? I thought it was the thermostat housing.


Oh well...I always wanted an electric pump.

I relocated mine to the air box. Real easy to do and reads true air temp.
