![]() I took out my hydraulic lifters, and upon putting them back in, I noticed on one side there is a small hole, I assume is for an oil passage. Do these need to face out towards the outside of the engine, or inboard towards the center of the engine. Thanks!

![]() I have mine facing the inside of the motor (towards the intake). I don't think it really matters, put I could be wrong.

![]() It doesn't matter. I've ran them both ways with no problems, and every time I see this question arise, the given answer has always been that it doesn't really matter.
