Default aod is doa

Well I did the install on the tranny and it seemed to be going fine until i took it for a test drive. The 1-2 shift was great but it shifted into 3rd right after the 1-2 shift and started slipping. In od all it did was slip,i emailed Baumann but it is Sunday so I will have to wait to see if they can help.I have all but decided to go with either a c-4 or a t-5 .The tranny has 160,000 on it and is probally on it's last leg anyway.I wanted a t-5 when I did the 4cyl to v8 swap but the parts car I found was a automatic so I settled for that. What do you guys c-4 or t-5???It doesn't really matter about the od all I basically do is race the car anyway. Is there anybody that makes a c4 swap kit with all the parts needed?I can probally pick up a t-5 car at the salvage sale I go to every other sat. but there is no telling what kind of shape the tranny will be in.And also no telling how long it will take to find a t-5 car.But I know I will wait and pay 1500-2000 for a whole car before I pay mps 1695 for a t5 swap kit!
