Well, I am helping my friend build a 347 motor (EFI). He called Jim Cook ( www.lunati.com ) and Jim recomended a strong cam for him (part number 51014). Just tell Jim what you are looking for and what you have and he can set you up. Even if you don't want a lunati cam, you can take the specs on that cam and find you one with similar specs... Hope this helps.

Default had lunati, went with comp.

that 51014 is a little mild for a carb'd car. I was running a lunati 51018 and it was strong, BUT the dyno showed valve float(power loss) over 6200 rpm.

Id choose, and have chosen for myself, a comp cam 31-762-9

Im running a 347, stage 3 dart jr's, hooker super comps 1 3/4 primaries, 750 B&G carb and vic. jr intake. we made 430.8 rwhp with that combo<<<<<<<---- LOL still trying to get it to hook. but it runs well, i shift at 6800 rpm and rev limiter is set at 7200.

If you don't mind the extra cash I would go with a solid roller. Mine is a comp solid for a blower or nitrous (114lsa) and it still will do 11's on the motor all day. I love my cam the driveability is great and the idle sounds wicked. If you want I can get you the grind # you won't be sorry.
