Question Better Engine

Ok, I have a '67 coupe and I want to do an engine swap so I can get more horsepower. At first I was thinking of putting a 390 in my car, but now I am considering a 351 cleveland. The problem I am confronted with is which engine is better? I have been told the 390 has more power than the 351 but less torque. Lastly does anyon know what kind of modifications I need to do to do the swap, I was told all I would have to do is change the heads.
thanks

If you are considering an engine swap I would suggest that you toss a 351 Windsor between the fenders. There are WAY more aftermarket performance parts out there to choose from (most 302 stuff will bolt right on). If 351 cubic inches aren't enough for you, there are a ton of stroker kits (393,408,427 and others) that are available as well. The 351 wieghs less than both of them too.
It's an all-around better choice.

Good luck

I second Frankenstang65 opinion. You can get the 4 Barrel Windsor ('69 351-4bbl) or the Cleveland ('70+). I guess it comes down which ever one you can find but I have the Windsor and I notice more parts for the Cleveland but you can still find more then plenty parts for the Windsor. If your looking for engine stats and such check out www.fomoco.com site and it will give you alot of information about different engines during the years such as hp, torque, weight, compression and such. Hope this helped with your choice.
