when I open the drivers door it drops almost half an inch
can I get new bushings for the hinges or would I need new hinges?

get a hardware kit, which comes with bushings and pins from a parts store.

I need to do this as well. I've heard its a little tough to get in there, but well worth it in the end.

ConMan:
Buy the pin/bushing door hinge 'repair' kit. About $10. per side.
You need a dremel tool to cut the old pin(s) as they don't just slide out. It's tight and takes some time to do this. Having a friend to hold the door when you remove the old pin(s) and insert the new ones helps a lot.
I did it about 2 years ago, with a friend's help. Took a little over an hour (I only needed drivers door hinge repaired) and no problems since. Looks better, too.

thanks for the info
I was looking at the hinge setup and was wondering how it came apart
My car is the same, only needs the drivers door
I guess that one opens a lot more than the pass. side.
