These heads have had some work done to them, so they do flow better than stock. My purpose for posting these pics was not to show them off, but rather give people who have never seen them before the opportunity to see just how drastic the change was.

The first time I saw a set, after getting over the initial shock of seeing something so different, I realized how neat they were.

Maybe the whole time Ford was developing the Mod motor, chevy was working on these.. hehehhee

I think Ford really let us down for quite some years, with the conservative heads and compression, on the 302. The ls1s run a higher compression and (as seen here) much better flowing heads. Better heads on the 5.0 make a huge difference, good heads and cam on a 5.0 put it right with the ls1. I think Ford did it to keep the warranty issues down, makes sense from a business standpoint.
