Don't ask WHY that file is called UGLICAR (and don't agree either!! )

And off........

Good ol Century Ford left me with some pits and scrapes on the gray housings, and they've started to bug me, hence comtemplating putting the covers back on.

I say leave them off, but I'm all about understatement. With my cars anyway.

Well...its a gray car with a stock hood and no spoiler...its pretty much as understated as a SN95 can be The older I get, the more subtle appearances appeal to me I'm not too worried about the covers making the car more "flashy" I just don't feel strongly enough either way to make a quick decision You guys know me, usually I'm pretty sure about how I feel

I think they look kinda cool actually. It kind of depends on how bad the paint imperfections are though. It looks cleaner with them off, but if the paint is bad enough, cover it up!

I like the pipes. Kind of reminds me of the refinery stacks. Very Jersey. I know that's the look you're going for, right Belle.

What the **** are you talking about? They are stainless steel pipes....shiney 3 inchers, and I think they look just fine.

Regardless, priority is a personal decision really...I mean, I had a stock head unit for almost 3 years so I could do my motor...then the paint, and NOW audio. That's my preference, someone else may be different

Here's my 2 cents.....

I like it with the covers on and off... but if you take them off, I like it better with the new lights (97-98). I don't care too much for the horisontal lights....

I do like the 96-98 lights better myself (was gonna steal them off my 98 if I could ) but with no wing, the rear looks kinda odd with those lights, more like something is "missing". At least with the horizontal lights, the bodylines continue (wrap around).

I disagree, I think it will look good with or with out a wing. I prefer the spoiler on a GT. Without one reminds me too much of a 6cyl

Well its my car, and the 94-95 lights are staying so NYAH!!! New tailights aren't in the budget anyways, the current ones are in good condition (unlike my old headlights).

That's exactly the point, I LIKE the 6 cyl look, right down to the ponies on the side. I think its sleek, and the vertical pattern of the newer lights draws the eye up and down instead of left and right IMO. My kiddie days of OOO LOOK BIG WING AND HOOD are over. Now I just buy what I need, i.e. no spoiler (dont need the downforce) and no 4 in hood (only need a 1-1.5 in). The Saleen kit stays because hey, I don't have the stock parts and I really like the way it looks

As for the tailpipes, I'm surprised ANYONE looked that closely at the pic LOL, but that's old as hell. Here is a pic of the way the pipes have been since earlier this year:

well.....if I wanted to put the cash out for repainting, why wouldn't I just do the original assembly? These covers would look nasty painted anything but black, IMO. Do you know what they look like? They're flexible plastic...well, grille thingys that attach with ghetto 3M tape.
