![]() Hey guys,
I have to drop the gas tank and find a leak and maybe replace the tank. I'm figuring since I'll be there, I might as well install a fuel pump. In the future the mods that I will be doing will require a 155lph-190lph, can I install this now even though my mustang is as stock as they come. I would think that it would burn itself out before I got any mods in. What do you think?

![]() I'm pretty sure it will be fine
I don't think you can burn these pumps out by not using enough fuel. The only other thing you may need to worry about is the pressure regulator. I think most guys get an adjustable unit but you can run it on the stock unit. Conrad

![]() The fuel pump will be fine putting out less than the maximum amount. In fact you only use the maximum fuel on high speed passes with nitrous or a poweradder. Like Conman said though, you should put in an adjustable fpr or your new bigger pump may put to much pressure on your stock regulator or injectors.
