![]() What is the factory rating of the thermostat.
My factory temp gauge reads at the "M" in normal. I hear many people saying they switched to a 180 degree. I always thought and read in mags that 160 degree was the popular choice. What should I get..180 or 160? ------------------ '82 GT 351W C-4,BBK headers,Carter 625 carb,Comp.Cam,Flowmaster exhaust. 1988 GT...T-5,bone stock |

![]() I know in the 87-93 cars it was a 195 stock, go with a 180. The 160 is too cold and doesn't allow the radiator ample time to cool the fluid before pumping it back through your motor, it could run hotter.
