Default Not Right

Hey Coolie - Things are definitely not right. My '00 hasn't burned or leaked a drop of oil to date. Which dealership in Jax are you dealing with?

Thumbs down dealership wrong

there is something very wrong there man. i work at a ford dealer here in san antonio, i have not run across one that uses oil yet, sounds to me like you have a consumption problem, take it to another dealer, have them run the consumption test on it so it is documented with ford. do not, under any circumstance add oil during this test, only cuz it will lead the dealer to believe there is no problem, once they get at least three tests complete, they may just replace your engine, after all, it still has warranty i assume. thats how i do it here, i specialize in 4.6 engines here and do all heavy line work. it is possible you have a bad valve seal or ring seal problem, but i can only speculate. i know mine uses oil, but it is a 96 with 137k miles on it and the valve seals are the problem, i am just to lazy to fix it, i just add the oil to it, lol. i fix every one else's but mine, funny huh?!?!? hope you get it fixed...

I hear they burn oil though, my 02 burns the same amount...in 600 miles it was .5 quart low.
