Default fan and insulation question

howdy.

2 questions:

1. Is there any lighter insulation i can use for my mustang? I am doing a pretty through teardown - rebuild of my 87 GT. The old stuff is heavy, smells of death, and is a b|tch to deal with. I thought about putting in some heat reflector stuff, but i would like something with some sound dampening qualities as well. Any ideas?

2. I am looking at buying a new fan since mine is all chewed up. so far i am leaning toward a Flex-a-lite Serpentine Flex Fan . here is the real question: do i take out the fan clutch assembly nad use a clutchless fan, or pick a clutched fan?
