In a quandry here. My fiancee loves going to the track and watching me race and would like to try racing herself. Talked to a guy this evening who has a 78' Mustang for sale. I know, a 78' is not one of the best Mustangs produced. Antually, they are the ugliest.

Anyway, it has a 302 with a C4 w/ a b&m shifter, 9 inch, line lock, and a cage. Skinnies with new slicks in the rear. The car is primered and with a little sanding will be ready to paint.

The car is a high 12, low 13 second car and is ready to go.

I can get the car for a mere $1400.

Sounds like a good starter car and if she decides she doesn't like racing I think I can get my money back and maybe make some.

What do you all think????

I'd say go for it. What do you have to lose? I could have sold her a Fully race prepped 89 GT..with no motor or tranny :)

You could part it out and get more for it. I say get it. 78?? Put some stock rims on it and go street racing. Its a no-lose situation.

I had a '77 with motor and trans work done. You would not believe how easy it is to pick a fight in a car like that! Almost the most fun I had in high school:D
