Question Installed Fuel Pump ,PROBLEMS

I just finished installing a new 190 fuel pump. It sounded great when I started at an idle but when I drove it and stopped at a light the car idles very rough and low. It feels like it wants to turn off. When i hit the gas it has no power until I gradually get to 1500 rpm then its ok? Can Any on help? Thanks

If your battery was disconnected for a long time, then I would say to give the computer a chance to "re-learn" it's settings.
At least this was the case when my g/f taurus got a water pump replacement. It idled like crap for a a day and then returned to normal.

I did not realize that the computer had to re-learn fuel pump settings. So should I try driving it or can the computer adjust at an idle?

When the battery is disconnected for more than 10 min. (I think) and then reconnected, the computer "resets" itself.
We took my g/f Taurus to the garage to have the water pump replaced and it idled like crap and stalled sometimes when we got it back. I was thinking "what the hell...?"
I figured the computer needed to reset itself and would get better in a few hours. It worked.
When I read your post, I thought about the Taurus and was thinking maybe you had the same problem.
