![]() Hello everyone. I just ordered a trickflow cam, twisted wedge heads and trick flow intake to match the heads. Finally, no more "slow" vert. I hope. I ran a 15.3 before my exhaust mods(h-pipe, 2 chambers). My question is, along with this heads/cam/intake, and the addition of a Pi stallion 2800 non lock up converter (still no time to put that in) what kinda 1/4 times will I be running? mph? How much rwhp? I know I still need to get headers, those will be on the way shortly as well. Any suggestions as to which headers to go with? let me know, i'm open to suggestions, I'm trying to make the best out of my money. thanx!
-Suave

![]() I would go with BBK 1 5/8 equal length headers cause they will work with your existing H-pipe . They look and perform awesome thats what I have.
I would expect you to be in the very low 13's to high 12's @106mph or so. Congrats it should be awesome,

![]() Auto+vert=dissadvantage! I would say mid to high 13's once converter is in, and how well you are able to hook up. First run out, I'd say somewhere in the 14's. Traction is going to be your big issue when all said and done. Plus its going to take more to get your car going.
In my case I had no traction and I was only able to run 13.8@101mph, But my car has a lot more potential. Now a guy that had the same set up as me plus MT slicks, traction bars, and 4.10's ran 12.9 Just to give you an idea to what to expect.

![]() If you dont have at least 3.73 gears and drag radials then just stay home.
I run a 13.69 @101mph @3000ft granted my car is a 5 speed but I only have ported stock heads and an explorer intake along with all the bolt ons. Check my user ride to see my complete combo. Traction should be a given, I dont know why you would spend that much cash for HP that you will just spin away. Get 4.10's and drag radials or slicks. Then go run 12's and have a nice day. Later,

![]() I found out that with wheel hop and no traction all the money i spent on my engine (although still on a budget) was basically spun and hopped away.
I guess you'll see how your traction situation is. I decided to go the suspension/stiffening chassis route. You guys both have similar stuff that i do so i guess it'll be interesting to compare your horsepower with my traction after you hit the track ![]() Quote: Dark_5.0 "Traction should be a given, I dont know why you would spend that much cash for HP that you will just spin away." Boy did i learn that quickly, nothing makes me angrier than being psyched to go to the track only to have inconsistant runs from traction problems!

![]() At most tracks, they require a roll cage once a vert breaks into the 13's. I still don't see a heavy vert/auto going into the 12's, at least with the mods described.
