Default The going rate for boring a cylinder

I went to a machine shop here and town and wanted to get some price figures on reworking a 302 block. One of the things I want done is boring the block 30 over. They said they charge $40 a hole. Does this sound right? I thought it was kind of steap. I will have to look around to find something better
