Talking Another valuable tip for Hardcore racers

I promise after this i'm gonna shut up. I PROMISE. Ok i've talked about organizational racing and how to be prepared when you go to the track, i've talked about overcorrecting your car when it gets out of shape, and talked about track prepping. Now I wanna talk about Breaking. One of the best tips I can offer you as a racer myself is that EVERYONE should pay alot more attention to how your car stops. I can't stress enough how important this is. Cars need to have good breaks. Regardless of weight, hp etc. Check your rotors often. If the pedal is soft or mushy theirs a problem somewhere. Have it checked out. Make sure you have the correct pressure in the front and rear.

Also, i believe that parachutes are very important. Make sure they are in good shape and packed correctly and pointed in the right direction. I think if you have a car that runs 148mph or faster in a full quarter mile run and it weights 3000 pds or more and has skinny tires on the front you need a chute. No questions asked. Don't skimp on safety folks. It's not fun. Trust me I know.

Another important factor i want to address is wheel balancing. If i wouldn't drive my truck without balanced wheels, why would i drive my racecar without doing the same thing? It works.

People also don't seem to understand what happens with what they like to call "Progressive nitrous systems". All they do is turn the current on and off. So, for example, if you have a 300hp shot of nitrous on your car and turn it down to 50 percent, you're not really getting 150 hp. Instead of the thing being on all the time, it acts like a duty cycle on fuel injection- - it just turns the system on and off. That means you are getting a big hit of nitrous half the time..boom!..boom!..boom!..then your timing is going up and down with it too, which causes major problems. It's this kind of stuff that racers should know before they just hop in a race car and nail the pedal.
