Max Tire Size

I have a 94 cobra. I am about to put some nitto drags out back and i was wondering what the widest tire would be that i could put on a 17x9 inch rim. I was thinkin 285 maybe even 295???? I want the widest possible. Thanx!

You can probaly go bigger like 305 but the tire would stick out. If you want wider like 315 and good fitment you need a wider wheel like a 10 or 10.5 inch.
