![]() Yeah I'm not to crazy about these pics. Maybe it won't look like that in reality. But if it does we should accept it and maybe it will grow on us. I know the '99 body style grew on me.

![]() Bleh! That doesnt look at all like a mustang. At least the SN95 vaguely resembled the Fox. This just.....looks like a different car altogether. Kinda looks like a jag
I'm sure this will skyrocket the price, though, just like all the other "retro" cars: tbird, prowler. I dont count the 4 banger piece of crap pt cruiser cause it barely moves when you floor it.

![]() I'm not crazy about the taillights, but I like the rest. It obviously is supposed to look like 67-68. It's the very same shape and same headlight setup, even the same rear end, except the taillights sort-of look Shelby style.
Here's a '67 coupe in the same position as the first pic I uploaded of the '05:

![]() When i saw the back of the new "mustang" it looked like it has toyota supra style tail lights or something hideous like that. I'm sure a hardtop would probably look ok. Just like any restyle i'm sure people will get used to it (especially if it cranks out 400hp!).

![]() Looks like a 65' to me, maybe to combat the return of the 2005 Camaro (with classic 67' lines). Either way its still a prototype.

?? The original Bullit is like a 2001 mustang, unless your refering to the 67-68 stangs of yesteryear? I had stumbled onto some CAD pics that were supposed to be for the 05 stang. It looked pretty good sorta like a 66 Shelby had sex with an 99+ GT. The CAD pics featured a 1/4 window (ala' Shelby) which was a nice touch and inset round headlights reminiscent of the 67-68 cars. If this is the body that Ford is going to produce, then I can't wait till I've paid off the 02 and am ready to buy another. As for the red blob mobile shown above.....If thats it, I can wait and do the 11 year plan and my advice to Ford if the blob is the the result of a consumer clinic...quit while your ahead...A mustang ain't rice or escargo... its hotdogs and apple pie like a harley...find they right people for the clinic.

I'm not all that crazy about the new chasiss anywhosit since the LS is 4 wheel independant. Besides the old fox based chasiss gives whiney magiazine editiors a chance to reach for the thesarus and complain about the how the mustang lacks the dynamics of the Marenello 550 or S2000, or whatever. However it is interesting to note that they gave the now defunct f-car low marks in the handling department compared to the mustang, especially given the fact that the f-bodies switched the front suspension to an SLA type affair and have a torque arm set-up out back, which is supposed to be superior to the strut/suicide link set-up the mustang has. So; A they guy who designed the mustangs suspension (the same guy who did the GT-40 chasiss) is a genius, or B those magazine types change moods faster than your pregnant girlfriend, or C reviews are based on Ford approved content. Then again if they keep the live axle out back for us non-Cobra types (you can toss it in for the V-6 guys too so they can have something to brag about and look down on the GT guys) I'll be happy chasiss wise.

![]() I really, really hope Ford doesn't build the Mustang like that. I hope it is more like the CAD pic Max posted. To me, those pics look like a sad attempt to "pretty" up a Mustang. It lacks the muscle car look and looks more like a yuppy-mobile. They should stay with the latest design and maybe make it a little sleeker. Shorten the sides a little, and give it a bit lower stance.
