Cool Good Exhaust Ideas

Hey...I just got my 1967 Mustang running. It has an '85 mustang engine in it, with headers, edlebrock intake, and holley 650 carb. I need a new exhaust system because when I purchased the car, it only had about 2 1/4 size pipes on it. It is extremely quiet, and I want to make a much much beefier sound then it has right now. Would you please recommend some exhaust setups for me, and how do the idea of turndowns sound?thanks

scott

Is that 2 1/4 dual exhaust or single? If it is dual I wouldn't change a thing about the pipe size. I you wan't louder, change the mufflers. I can't recomend anything, but I have heard lots of people like the flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers.

On my 65 Coupe I ran a Dr. Gas "X" pipe and from there into a couple of 2 chamber Flowmasters. What size are the collectors on your headers? I went 2 1/2 mandrel bent all the way back.
