What is the weight of an 88LX????

I have a 88LX Hatchback and I have Taken of some thing to lighten it up. Like pin on hood, no power stering, and no AC. I have a fiber glass hatch but I need to pant it. I would like to know what the car wieght in at when it was new.

i'd like to know the same thing, but with a coupe, i've heard you could go to a truck weighing station and they can weigh you in for fairly cheap, anyone who responds could you also tell what the stock weight for an AOD 88 coupe, thanks

The title on my 88 coupe says 3200#. It now weighs 2285#.

I weighed it one time at the track when I first got it and it weighed in the 3150 range but if I remember right I had the front sway bar off even then.

The Coupe should weigh 3000.

The Hatch should weigh 3059.

Those are general numbers, and depending on tranny, and options, may be higher than that.

I would expect Stang Runner's stock LX Hatch to be around 3060.

fiveohpatrol, with the AOD, your coupe is probably around the same.

I had my 88 Notch weighed and it tipped the scales at exactly 2998 lbs.
