![]() I have an electric fuel pressure gauge that I'm trying to hook up and have run into a few problems. The sender for the gauge is supposed to connect to the schrader valve but both the sender and schrader valve are "male" ends. I have looked through autometer's product line and haven't found anything that can connect these two. On top of that, my inlet tube for the blower is almost against the schrader valve so I don't have much room to work with. Can someone with an electric fp gauge help me out? How am I supposed to connect the sender to the schrader valve??
I'd like to get it hooked up by Monday because it's supposed to be in the upper 40's...and I can't tune the car very well if I don't know what the fuel pressure is doing ![]() ![]()

![]() I had the same problem and found I could order one but it was a holiday weekend coming up and I wanted it all done over the weekend. Also, the sending unit was 1/8" thread and the shrader was 1/16" thread and I could not find anywhere in town that carried 1/16 fittings period... What I ended up doing is going to the auto parts store and finding 1/8 male to 1/8 female adapter and then taking my shrader and sliding it into the male end of the adaptor (may have ground the threads down, don't remember for sure it has been a few years) then took it to work and had it brazed together. It's not the prettiest thing but it only cost me about 2 bucks. If you can't braze yourself a welding shop porbably coould or you might even try something like JB Weld. The only bad thing about it is that your shrader valve is no longer used by itself. Oh yeah if you do use this idea, make sure you remove the valve core before you put it all together or you won't ever see any pressure out to the gauge. Anyway, good luck with whatever you do.

After all, it's only February and I don't think winter in PA is quite over yet. I'd rather wait and order the proper piece instead of fabbing something just to get it done. I called Autometer today but they aren't open on Saturday's so I'll have to give them a call on Monday.

![]() Like I said it has been a few years so I could be wrong but I think it was Steeda that had them though others probably do by now.
