![]() thinking about going to a big block have some questions.
1) can I keep it cool need to be able to be driven daily 2) what type of trans would like an o.d. stick or auto doesn't matter. 3)weight how can i get weight transfer. any thoughts would be appreciated thanks |

![]() I looked into the same thing for a while, it's hard to find anything strong with overdrive. If someone makes the right bellhousing to fit up to the bogblock, I'g go with a Tremec TKO 5spd. A C-6 3spd auto wil bolt up, but no overdrive plus it's pretty heavy.
As far as weight transfer, aluminum heads would lighten up the front end and help out the motor a bunch if you have the money to get a set (edelbrock rpm/blue thunder/super cobrajets-around $2000 complete). I'd try and contact a few spring companies and see if they can get you a set of drag springs set up for the heavier motor, and a set of 50/50 rear, 70/30 or 90/10 front shocks. For cooling, any aftermarket aluminum radiator will probably be fine, maybe go with a good electric fan setup.
