![]() What electric fans will work on a 87-93? I'm looking for a cheap way to put a electric fan on my car. I'm going to hard wire it in so I can turn it on and off as I please. Any suggestions?

![]() You could go to a junkyard and get an electric fan from a '94-'95 5.0L mustang, or i've also heard that turbo coupes have electric fans (not sure if it's true or not). You could also probably adapt something if you feel like doing alot of measuring and "custom" mounting. A fan from a newer 4.6L mustang may or may not work...i've never heard of someone using one, but i'm going to invest in an electric fan soon also.

![]() it's a good investment, i didnt go the cheap route though.
I hear you can get one from a lincon? but i ended up getting a black magic flex-a-lite, it was not the "cheap route" but it cools like a mofo, i had it for years and just now my a/c relay is acting up, I really dont need it anyway, so i disconected it for now, there is also a manual switch you can buy seperate. I picked up some good power from losing the pos ford calls a police hd clutch fan, maybe mine was just old, but it drugg my motor down...ok enough babbling for one night, im out.... ![]()

![]() Lincoln Mark 8 Fan from a 96+ They flow something like 4000+cfm hi and low speed. There's very few aftermarket fans that can come close or do better.

![]() i got a fan off a pontiac fiero and it fits the radiator perfect. I bought the ford motorsport thermostat housing that has the hole for a fan switch. I put in a 160 thermostat and the fan kicks on at 176 and off at 160. Im also going to wire in a switch so i can manually turn it on and off. The thermostat housing is pretty too.

![]() I got one from an '89 Olds Delta 88 with a 3.8L V6. It is a 16" fan and can be fit into the stock shroud, It's also nice and slim <4". I got it for $20 Canadian and I'm using a Flex-a-lite controller and a 75 Amp relay to run it. I haven't run it in the summer yet (just put it on) so I don't know about it's performance yet. I think my fan clutch must've been wearing out because my car revs alot quicker without the clutch fan.

![]() I have a 95 V6 Mustang fan in my car. Pulls plenty of air to keep it cool
Also, 93-98 Mark VIII fans pull the most air. Other good fans are 3.8L taurus fans All require a 130AMP alt conversion
