Default Dual vs. Single Pattern Cam

Why does Ford use the same lift and duration on the intake and exhaust side on the 5.0 cams?
I'd think with the sorry exhaust ports there would be some power to be had with a little more lift/duration on the exhaust side.
Anybody have any ideas??
