Default Convertable owners LOOK HERE

Im just curious to know if any one knows if a convertable "boot", "bonnet" are stock equipment from the factory on a 95 GT. Im currently looking at one and had gotten one from carmax, which i gave back, and neither has the boot. is this optional or is it just missing? If anyone can point out some major places on the top to inspect before buying i would appreciate it. I will be looking at it again on saturday. the top looks brand new, its attached to the rear window like its supposed to be and everything works and is tight. Did i miss anything? thanks
