Rapidly Flashing Theft Light

My theft light light flashes rapidly when I insert the key into the ignition and the car will not start. Can anyone help me with this problem? Has the passive anti-theft system been activated and my the computer does not recognize the code on my key as a valid code? Is there anyway I can disarm it so I can start the car? I tried everything recommended in the manual and even disconnected the battery. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. :mad:

Just for info purposes and since no one replied to my message, the problem turned out to be a bad transceiver in the computer. Consequently, the computer was not recognizing my key code as being valid causing the passive anti-theft system to shut the engine off and not allowing my key to start it.
