![]() I was wondering if anybody out there has found a way to move the driver seat back about an inch from it's furthest position? I'm 6foot 1 and one more inch of leg room would make a world of difference for me. On long drives it's pure agony on my legs. Help! 2002 Mustang GT

![]() Hey, try this. Remove the four bolts holding the seat in, measure about an inch or so forward of each bolt hole and drill a new hole. This will give you added room. I'm not sure how much room you have on the newer seats but you should have at least that much play.
Later!

![]() Wow, thank you very much! Just one question, will the mod work on 2002 model seats? The seats look the same as picture, but I'd hate to take everthing apart only to find out thier different, but thank you for taking the time to provide the info I needed.

![]() The mod on Mustangworld will not work on 99+ Mustangs. The seats are different.

![]() Kenny Brown sells seat extenders for the new Mustangs. I have them in my 02 GT. I am 6'9" and they do help. It moves the seat back 4" from the stock position. I did notice it made the seats sit a tad higher than before but I can deal with it as long as my knees are not in the dash. They cost around $100.
Hope this helps! Kevin |
