![]() Old setup: junkyard 302, Y303 heads, Cobra intake, S-trim, Lunati 51014 cam, Art Carr AOD. This went 10.80 @ 128 in a 93 hatch shifting at 6200.
New setup: CHP 342 stroker, 8.5:1 compression, stock TW heads, RPM intake, new T-trim 2.95"/7.00" pullies, Lunati 51025 cam, same tranny. Any idea what to expect as far as change in powerband for the new combo? Because of the greater torque, should I lower my shift point to get the most efficient results? Motor is seeing 12psi of boost at 6000 rpm, I haven't run it higher. I'm headed off the the track this weekend for my first test & tune with the new setup. Any info or experience would be appreciated. p.s. car stalls to 4200 on the 'brake with a 9" converter. I run 27" X true 10" wide DOT Hoosier QT pros and 3:73 rear gears. Thanks!!!
