Default Exhuast Question

Hey guys,

I own a 96 GT....and I have a quick exhuast question.....Recently one of my 6 Cats started rattling so I removed them and installed a offroad h-pipe(No Cats), the only thing is that my exhaust got alot louder then I expected......don't get me wrong....it sounds good and throaty but I wouldn't mind toning it down a bit.

Do you think I should have 1 Cat put back in on each sied or is there a set of mufflers that will help tone it down(They are the stock muffs now)?

Thanks,
DF96GT

When I first got my H-pipe on my 96 stang i already had some flowmaster mufflers and at first I thought it was kinda too loud and now I wish it was louder so give it time.

Hey thanks.....That's what the guy at the Muffler shop told me today. He loves it and told me to give it a week or so and he figures I will too. So yah....I'm going to see if it grows on me.

The worst thing is that I already noticed it growing on the cops around town.....I live in a small town so everyone are probably arleady talking about the Loud Stang around town!!!

Anyway, thanks and we'll see what happens!

Worst thing you will have to do is weld in a set of high flow cats. They'll cut down on the sound and keep you legal.
