I know they look funny on there, but they really help keep rocks, etc. from chipping up the lower panels. Especially when I'm at the track and the tires are hot the drag radials will kick up all sorts of rocks and stuff.

Man, it would be a PLEASURE TO JUDGE YOUR CAR!!!! THAT is the type of **** I like to see...Your engine is jam up and spot on!!! ;)
The whole Stang just looks CLEEEEEEAN!!!!!! and as far as worrying about the chipping...you know they make a clear 'film' you can put over your kickpanels and bumpers underneath that protect the paint, and you CANNOT hardly see them at all! A bunch of my friends from the Cobra Club have them, and they race and show....something to think about...
then you can ditch the mudflaps...;)
