Okay, at the risk of sounding really dumb, I have to ask. What is a Boss Mustang? I've tried researching and it looks like they first made the Boss in '70 or '71. It's gone thru several versions and the last version was a Boss 429? Is that right? What made it different? Supercharger? They don't make them now right? When I got my Boss decals I just thought they looked cool. Now people are asking me about it and I realized I don't really know . Please help!

The BOSS mustangs came out late 60's early 70"s. They were designed by Larry Shinoda, a Ford engineer. It was mainly an engine upgrade and a few options. More or less a bigger engine than the stockers. I think they came out after Carol Shelby stopped working with Ford???? Larry Shinoda started putting out limited addition BOSS Shioda stangs in the early 90'S and they still make them in limited quantities I believe. You should be able to find lots of info on BOSS mustangs and Larry Shinoda.

The engines were the same displacement as some other Ford motors (302, 351, 429), but they had big carbs, big valves, big solid lifter cams, etc.

okay I finally found something that lists what will turn my 03 GT into a Boss by searching with the name Larry Shinoda. Thanks for the tip. Here's the kit available:
Boss Shinoda Graphics
Chin Spoiler *
Rear Wing
Lowering Springs*
Caster Camber Plates*
Performance Chip*
Performance Exhaust
3.73 Gears*
K&N Filter
They want $2400 for the kit. I just need what has the asterix by it. I think I'll start with the chin spoiler.
