i replaced the supercharger belt and made the most idiotic mistake ever made...

I stripped the threads of one of the bolt that holds the belt tensioner plate.

3 bolts holds the plate down and the bolt with the stripped threads is the bolt that anchors the plate to the supercharger itself.

Question: would substituting the the bolt for a stud be a good idea?

After speaking with Vortech, they want the entire supercharger so they can do a "minor" repair- check/replace seals, bearings, etc. $500 at the most

How old is it? I guess if its having other issues you could give it back to them. Dont your belt tensioner bolts come very close to the belt. If so a stud wouldnt work. You could either find a heli coil kit to get your threads back or send the blower to a machine shop have them weld the hole shut and redrill it out. I would heli coil first they are actually stronger than what you had originally.
Hope this helps.

The Vortech is only approx 1.5 years old.

Stripping the threads hurt even more as i typed the above line.

The stripped threads in question is the one that anchors the tension plate with a bolt it the middle of the Vortech. By the looks of it, there is ample room for a small stud.

Would using a heli coil require opening the supercharger? If so, then i might as well send it to Vortech.
