Default 94 and up mustang help

Hey guys,

Here is the deal, gas prices are eating me alive. And i need a car that is better on gas than my 5.0, i am thinking of buying a 94-98 mustang gt, excpt i dont know the milliage or even if it would be better on gas. Please help, im despriate and im about to sell what little hot rod i have for a gas effictant stang that i can later on trick out.

A 94-95 will get nearly identical mileage.


Just keep your 5.0 and keep your foot out of it.

See thats the thing, i do and it still gets horrible gas milleage and rigt now im close to poor, i cant afford it

How bad is your mileage? The 94-95 have the same engine, and mileage will be nearly identical as was already stated. The 96-98, I really dont know. I had an 01 that I just sold, and it was getting anywhere from 17mpg (driving aggressively) to 22 mpg (driving like a grandpa). My 90 can do the same, so I dont really think you will be doing anything except picking up a car note.
