thread size on 96 cobra

any of you guys happen to know what the stock thread size of the shifter on my 96 cobra would be? i heard 7/16 but im not sure. i was looking at knobs on ebay and i wanna make sure i get the correct size

As far as I know, the threads on the shifter handle are the same as the rest (t-5's and so on). Which is not 7/16. It is 12mm x 1.75 pitch. At least that is what it is for the t-5 handles.
