Default question about my 68

i just picked up a 68 rag top yesterday, and inoticed that behind the door ther are 2 rectangle "dimpels"about 2"x4" on both sides. they are machined into the metal . they are in the same spot that the"C" is on my 65. does anyone know why, all of the other 68's i see are smooth. thanks for your help

Those rectangles are there to be cut out for the scoops on a '67.The replacement quaters are made to work on both years. The body shop should have filled them in for your '68.
