I'm getting ready to soon order a set of new slicks. Which are better, the MT ET drag slicks or Hoosier's?
I'm going with 26x9x15 to mount on a set of 10 hole rims.
Anyone have any experience with any of these slicks?

I have had 3 sets of Mickey Thompson ET streets 26X 10.5 X15 and now I am running 26 X 8 X 15 Hoosier slicks.

On the ET streets my car squeals out of the hole a little bit and I bark 2nd and 3rd. On the Hoosiers my car dead hooks and I dont bark the tires at all. I went from 1.70-1.75 60fts to 1.66- 1.71 60fts with the Hoosiers.

I like them both you wont go wrong either way.

I've never tried the Hoosiers, all I have ever ran is the MT Et Drags. Everyone that I race with (that runs a slick) uses Mickey Thompson. A guy that races in my class used to run Hoosiers, but has switched to the MT's.

I like the M/T's myself

Although I did cut a 1.74 60-foot with no other suspention or traction aids other than a set of 26x9.5x15 Hoosier DOT quick time pro's

I've ran Hoosiers for years and love them. 26x8.5/15 got me down in the low 1.6s for 60ft. times.

listen to Andy, get the MT's
I think theres something to be said for the tires if everyone in a class that is looking for every last .001sec runs the MT's

Yeah, I think I'm going with the M/T slicks, however, it was interesting to hear that Dark_5.0 had better results with the Hoosiers.
From all the replies I've heard so far, it sounds like he got his results backwards. I don't doubt him but it was interesting.

My father use to run Hoosiers and 1.29 60ft, But they didn't bite on every track. So he switch to goodyear. They'll hook in my front lawn.LOL. This is his third year and still hooking. Mine are only a year old and still Hook

Well, he was comparing the Hoosier slicks to ETstreets, which have a stiffer sidewall than the ETdrags and won't hook quite as well. Don't let the "size" listing fool you either, a 10.5 ETstreet actually measures about 8.5-9"

I've hit high 1.6 60' time with only subframe connector and not front sway bar, rest of suspension was stock on et drags.

I am comparing Hoosier "slicks" to ET streets which are close to slicks but not quite.

Like I sad either way you cant go wrong.
