Hello, we bought a 1996 Mustang GT convertible. It's all stock including the paint which is bright orange. I'm told that it is a special edition- I've only seen one other just like it. It looks like a creamsicle- orange paint, white soft top, white leather interior. It's a V8, 4.6 liter, automatic. Do you know anything else about this car? I'd really like to know. It's a hot little car, very unique. Thanks for any additional info you may have.

Ive never seen the combo. The one you have sounds like a custom order by someone or a dealership order, I dont think there is a "special edition" orange gt with white top and interior.

Tangerine Orange was a 1996 only Mustang color. Mine is Autumn Orange Metallic, a 97 only color. It is limited production, but I don't know how many are produced. There was a special section for the Tangerine Orange 1996 on www.yellowmustangregistry.com, but I haven't looked in a while
Take care of it, you may see very few like it. Take some pictures and post them so we can see it!

You have a relatively rare Mustang, in terms of paint, anyway.
Only 829 1996 Mustangs came with the paint code CM - Bright Tangerine. With the usual high attrition rate for Mustangs I would guess that there are probably less than 500 still around, making your '96 somewhat special.

I knew they were rare, but I couldn't remember the numbers. There is a really nice GT coupe in town here with black bullitts on it. Awesome color! Orange Mustangs Rock!
